Orientation

Witness Labs turns a rough idea into a precise, model-ready image prompt. You pick an engine for the kind of work you're doing, describe your subject, shape it with controls, then ship the result to Midjourney, Gemini, Flux or SDXL. This chapter covers the loop everything else sits on.

IF YOU ONLY READ ONE THING
Pick an engine, name your subject, set the Logic Gate, then refine. Everything else is fine-tuning.

The Core Loop

Pick an engine, describe the subject, shape it, refine, then ship it.

WHAT IT DOES

Every session follows the same five steps. First you choose an engine for the kind of work — cars, fashion, architecture, product, and so on. You name your subject in the main input, then shape it with the Logic Gate, presets and style. When it looks close, you refine it or hand it to the Atelier, and finally you copy the finished prompt into your image model.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Every mode in the app follows this same shape, so once you learn it in one engine you know them all.

USE IT WELL

Do the loop end to end once with a simple subject before touching the parameter deck. The controls make far more sense when you've seen the whole path.

Anatomy of the Workstation

Header, engine bar, main input, prompt display, and the parameter deck.

WHAT IT DOES

The top header shows your plan, credits and the three deep tools — Neural Link, the Inner Atelier and your account. Under it, the engine bar picks the mode. The middle column holds your main input line, presets, the Logic Gate and the live prompt display broken into segments. On the right sits the Midjourney parameter deck.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The middle column is always your prompt as it's being built. The panels around it are all just ways of changing it.

USE IT WELL

Watch the prompt display while you click things. It updates live, and it's the fastest way to learn what any control actually does.

Credits

New accounts get 50 credits on signup, one time. No card needed.

WHAT IT DOES

Credits are consumed by AI actions — refining a prompt, extracting a prompt from an image, Atelier reasoning sessions, and image generation. Finalizing a prompt with a copy to the clipboard also costs a small credit fee, because the copy logs the prompt to your history and project spine.

WHAT TO EXPECT

New accounts include 50 credits on signup as a one-time grant, so you can try every mode before paying. Turning controls and loading presets does not cost credits.

USE IT WELL

Explore the engines and the parameter deck freely — the controls themselves are free. Save your credits for refinement, Atelier sessions, and copying the final prompt, where the system is doing real work for you.

Your First Ten Minutes

Start in AUTO with a car you know, and change one thing at a time.

WHAT IT DOES

Open the AUTO engine. Type a car you know well into the main input — something you can picture without effort. Load a preset that looks close, then swap the Logic Gate to a different design house and watch the prompt shift.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You'll see how much of the output is driven by the Logic Gate rather than your typed words. That's the single most important thing to learn early.

USE IT WELL

Change exactly one control at a time and read the prompt after each change. Changing three things at once teaches you nothing about which one mattered.
