Access & Credits

Prompt refinement, extracting a prompt from an image, Atelier reasoning sessions and image generation consume credits. Copying the finished prompt to the clipboard also costs one credit, because the copy logs it to your history and project spine. Choosing engines, presets, Logic Gates, styles, materials and every control on the parameter deck costs nothing.

New accounts start with 50 credits. On the free tier a daily drip then tops your balance back up toward 50 on days you haven't spent anything, so an unused Explorer account sits at 50.

Do all your structural thinking with the free controls, and spend credits only when you need the model to reason or copy the final prompt. Most people burn credits on refinements they could have made by hand.

The free tier. Unlocks the Auto, Fashion and Poster prompt modes, Flash Lite prompt refinement, segment lock and reroll, all four prompt targets (Midjourney, Gemini, Flux, SDXL) and a basic recent history of the last 20 prompts. The Inner Atelier is locked on this tier.

50 credits on signup, plus a daily drip of up to 15 that refills the balance toward a 50-credit ceiling on days with no spend. Enough to build and ship real prompts by hand. Refinement runs on the smallest model.

Use it to learn the loop — engine, Logic Gate, materials, camera — before deciding whether a paid tier is worth it.

The entry paid tier. Unlocks Director mode, the Neural Link Copilot, Inner Atelier FAST reasoning, standard image generation and full prompt history.

The tier where most day-to-day prompting work lives. FAST reasoning is fast enough to sit inside a normal working session instead of feeling like a separate task.

Take it once you find yourself re-typing the same corrections. That's the point where the Copilot and Atelier FAST start paying for themselves.

The pro tier. Unlocks Inner Atelier DEEP reasoning (60 sessions a month), the full Sigma Poster Forge recipe set, high-resolution image generation, the Gemini Pro model in the Copilot and AI Panel, CMF spec sheets, storyboard and narrative sequences, semantic heatmap and credit rollover.

DEEP sessions take longer than FAST — you're paying for reasoning depth, not speed. Rollover means unused credits carry a month rather than resetting cleanly.

Take it when the work stops being one-off prompts and starts being campaigns, sequences or design cycles you need to defend to someone else.

The top tier. Unlocks unlimited Inner Atelier FAST and DEEP, a daily image fair-use allowance, MCP / API access, a priority queue and extended rollover.

The tier where volume stops mattering — Atelier isn't rationed and images run under a fair-use limit rather than a hard monthly cap.

Take it when Witness Labs stops being a tool you open and starts being part of the pipeline other tools call into.

MCP access lets an outside AI agent or tool talk to your Witness Labs account — checking who you are, listing and reading your prompt history, deleting entries, and reviewing recent usage. Everything runs as you, under the same row-level security as the Vault.

Programmatic access to your own data. Not a public API for other people's prompts.

Use it to pull finished prompts into whatever you already work in, rather than copying by hand. It reads your Vault, so anything you've saved is reachable.

Lower tiers reset credits each cycle. Architect and Studio roll unused credits forward, so a light month isn't wasted and a heavy month can draw on what you banked.

Rollover is capped by tier — Architect one month, Studio extended. Explorer and Operator do not roll over.

If your usage is spiky, the rollover on Architect/Studio is often worth more than the raw monthly number.

If you run low mid-cycle, a top-up adds credits immediately as a one-time purchase — no subscription change. Useful for a deadline push on a lower tier.

Top-up credits stack on top of your plan's balance and are consumed the same way.

Top up for occasional spikes; if you're topping up every month, the next tier up is usually cheaper overall.

Every credit change is written as a signed entry on a ledger: grants and top-ups are positive, spends are negative, and each entry records the exact balance_after the change. Nothing is a silent backfill. A separate reconciliations audit table records any corrective adjustment, with the reason attached.

The Usage tab shows the ledger newest first, with running balance visible on every row. If something looks wrong, the row that broke it is on that page.

Check the ledger, not the headline balance, when a number surprises you. The ledger is the source of truth; the badge in the header is only a summary of it.

When you upgrade from one paid tier to a higher one inside an active billing cycle, the checkout charges only the delta between what you paid and what the higher plan costs for the remaining time. You don't lose the value of your current plan by moving up early.

The upgrade order shows the prorated amount, not the sticker price. The new tier's benefits activate immediately on payment.

If you're about to top up, price out the upgrade first. A prorated upgrade is often cheaper than a top-up that would only carry you a few more days.

Pricing is geo-aware. Indian users see INR pricing and Razorpay UPI as the default payment method on plans, upgrades and top-ups, without changing anything. Everyone else sees USD. You can override the currency where the checkout supports it.

The published USD price and the INR price are set independently, not converted at a live rate. They're chosen for parity of purchasing power, not for FX symmetry.

If you're travelling, the app respects your account's region, not your VPN. That's deliberate — it keeps billing consistent regardless of where you happen to sit.

Admins can flip a per-account test_role that renders the workstation, gates and pricing surfaces as if they were on a chosen tier. Real billing, real credits and real Vault content are untouched — only the visible tier and the gates that read from it change.

The simulation is visible: the header shows the simulated tier badge, and gated features either open or lock accordingly. Turning simulation off restores your real tier immediately.

Use it to verify a feature's gate behaves correctly across tiers before shipping a change. Never test payments through it — payments run against your real account regardless.

A dedicated branded signup page where you can register interest in features that aren't public yet. Requests land in an access queue with a proposed plan grant and credit grant attached, which an admin reviews and applies to your account when the cohort opens.

Submitting an email doesn't change your current plan or balance. If your request is approved, the grant lands on your account and you'll see the tier or credit change announced the next time you sign in.

Use the note field to say what you actually want to build. Requests that describe a real job get reviewed first, because they tell us which feature to open next.

The connect page publishes an MCP server URL and step-by-step instructions for pointing an external AI agent — Claude, an IDE assistant, or any MCP-capable client — at your account. The agent authenticates as you and can read your prompt history and usage rather than guessing at context.

Agent access is read-scoped and tier-gated to Studio. It doesn't bypass credits: anything the agent triggers that costs credits is charged to your ledger like a click in the app.

Connect one agent at a time and check the Usage ledger after the first session, so you can see exactly what the agent touched before you rely on it.
