The Graphic Studio
GRAPHIC is a computational plate mode. Instead of describing a poster in words and hoping, you compose a live SVG plate from industry-anchored presets and archetype components — dials, circuits, micro-grids, charts, type specimens — under real layout discipline. It sits alongside POSTER: POSTER is the prompt engine for print, GRAPHIC is the design surface itself.

GRAPHIC is a design surface, not a prompt engine. You pick a preset, and a deterministic composition engine draws a plate from labelled archetype components under real layout rules. The output is an SVG you can export as SVG, PNG or a batch sheet — not just a text prompt to hand to Midjourney.
Every change is visible in the Plate Visualiser in real time. Two runs of the same preset with the same seed produce the same plate — the engine is deterministic, not random art.
Use GRAPHIC when the deliverable is the graphic — sticker, spec plate, editorial mark, contact sheet. Use POSTER when the deliverable is a prompt for a photorealistic layout.
GRAPHIC Presets
Around 48 industry-anchored presets grouped by STRUCTURE, INK and CAPTION.
Presets are named plates tuned to specific industry aesthetics — aerospace instrumentation, medical care glyphs, mil-spec routes, botanical taxonomies, spec-sheet exploded views and so on. They're grouped into STRUCTURE (the underlying grid or diagram), INK (colour and material feel) and CAPTION (typography register).
Presets are opinionated. Two aerospace presets share a family look; jumping across families is meant to feel like changing disciplines, not tweaking a slider.
Start from a preset that already fights for the discipline you want, then shuffle. Building from a random preset outward almost always beats trying to bend the wrong preset into shape.
The Plate Visualiser
The live SVG plate — archetype components composed under real layout logic.
The Visualiser draws the current plate as an SVG using an archetype component library — Dial, Circuit, GridMicro, Signal, Topo, Chart, TypeSpecimen, Botanica, Heraldic, Molecule, Routes, Exploded, Board and CareGlyph. Each kit contributes a small vocabulary of parts the compositor arranges under proximity, clear-zone and density rules.
Components snap into a disciplined free-flow layout — not a rigid grid, not a chaotic collage. Text baselines align, groups stay coherent, and edges have safe-areas.
Read the plate for hierarchy first — headline, subject, supporting captions, serial. If the eye doesn't land in that order, no amount of shuffling colour will fix it.
Composition Discipline
Proximity grouping, clear-zones, edge safe-areas and a density guard.
The composition pass enforces a small set of layout laws: proximity-group the headline and subject as one unit, keep captions out of the title's clear-zone, respect edge safe-areas on every side, and cap caption count when the headline is oversized (the density guard). These rules run before text lands, not after.
Plates stay readable even at the smallest thumbnail size. If a plate looks cluttered, it's almost always because the headline is too big and the density guard is dropping captions to protect it — either shrink the headline or accept the drop.
Design at thumbnail. Zoom out until the plate is 200px wide; if it doesn't read there, it won't read anywhere else either.
Text Toggles, Size Steppers & Shuffle
Turn text roles on and off, step sizes S–XL, and shuffle placement or size independently.
Each text role — HEADLINE, SUBJECT, CAPTIONS, SERIAL, FRAME — has its own on/off toggle and its own S/M/L/XL size stepper. Two shuffle actions run separately: SHUFFLE TEXT re-rolls placement only, SHUFFLE SIZE re-rolls the size steppers, and RESET returns both to defaults.
Placement and size are decoupled on purpose. You can hunt for a good position without ever changing the type scale you already like, and vice versa.
Lock the scale first — headline size, caption size — then shuffle placement. Reversing that order gives you a scale that keeps chasing whatever the last shuffle produced.
Batch Export
Export 6, 12 or 24 tiles as an SVG/PNG ZIP or a single contact sheet.
Batch export takes the current preset and produces a set of variants — 6, 12 or 24 tiles — each with its own text placement (and optionally its own size shuffle). Output modes are ZIP (individual SVG or PNG files, one per tile) or SHEET (a single contact-sheet SVG or PNG at 1x/2x/4x).
Tiles are deterministic per seed: the same base seed and options produce the same batch every time. You can hand the batch to a designer as-is; it's not a random contact sheet.
Ship the sheet, not the ZIP, when you want feedback on direction. Ship the ZIP when someone downstream needs individual assets. Contact sheets are for judgement; ZIPs are for handoff.
Batch Preview Strip
See the whole batch as thumbnails before exporting; reshuffle in place; click to peek.
The preview strip renders the exact tiles your batch will export — same seeds, same text plans — as a thumbnail grid inside the export modal. RESHUFFLE regenerates the batch without leaving the modal; clicking a thumbnail opens a peek view at full size.
What you see in the strip is what you get in the export, byte-for-byte. Approving on the strip is safe.
Reshuffle a couple of times before exporting a 24-tile sheet. The first batch is rarely the strongest, and reshuffling is free where re-exporting is not.
